Lighting

The lighting industry is rapidly developing as people's needs grow. The hope of using technology to improve the quality of life brings unlimited business opportunities. People now not only need smart lighting but also pay more attention to comfort, health and safety. The spec requirements for light environments, such as illuminance, light distribution, light color, color rendering, uniformity, efficiency, etc., are getting higher and higher. Lighting needs vary according to geography, age, occasion and use cases.

In addition, against the backdrop of low-carbon trends and development, LED lighting, with its energy-saving and environmentally friendly features, has become a new popular choice for governments around the world when it comes to replacing traditional lighting sources. LED lights are small in size, radiation-free, flicker-free and can function at low temperatures, making them the most promising green light source. Along with energy saving in lighting, sustainable lighting and healthy lighting also continue to advance. The development of this sector involves three major phases, LED product popularization, smart lighting system application and human-oriented lighting.

Thermal management is critical in the design of LED PCBs for lighting systems. Metal core PCB (MCPCB) for heat dissipation in lighting systems is the most common solution to effectively dissipate the significant heat generated by LEDs during operation. Aluminum substrates, in particular, excel at rapidly conducting heat to heat sinks, substantially improving thermal efficiency, extending LED lifespan, and ensuring reliable product performance.

A systematic approach to Lighting PCB design and manufacturing is crucial for fulfilling diverse lighting demands. This involves thorough consideration of factors like base material selection, design optimization, process control, and reliability testing to maximize LED performance and longevity.

Liang Dar provides a comprehensive PCB manufacturing solution, from design to testing, backed by a dedicated engineering team. We adhere to rigorous quality control standards to ensure every PCB meets the highest customer expectations.

Commercial Lighting

Commercial Lighting

Light engines are used to manufacture tube lights, bulbs, and downlights of different sizes, which are mainly used for indoor lighting.

Indoor Lighting

Indoor Lighting

Light engines are used to manufacture tube light bulbs, and downlights of different sizes. Western households prefer warm and yellow bulbs; Asian households prefer bright and white tube lights.
Industrial Lighting

Industrial Lighting

As some workplaces require illumination for a large area, high-brightness LEDs are used. In this case, metal core boards are widely used as a material.

Outdoor Lighting

Outdoor Lighting

As illumination for a large area is required, attention should be paid to heat dissipation and waterproofing. Metal core boards are widely used as a material for this purpose.
Grow Lighting

Grow Lighting

Mainly used in low-light indoor environments with constant temperatures and humidity. Double-sided boards are commonly used.
Stadium Lighting

Stadium Lighting

Requires high illuminance and high brightness. Metal core boards are widely used in manufacturing. For special designs, sometimes metal core boards for RGB LEDs made of 6.0mm aluminium are used.
Street Lighting

Street Lighting

Designed to meet different illuminance and brightness requirements and used in conjunction with optical modules. Mostly made with metal core boards.

Light Engine Module

Light Engine Module

Single-sided, double-sided and metal core boards are used for these products. The components are mainly LED PCB boards and power controllers. As the product dissipates heat as it lights up, LED modules are made with FR4, metal core boards, Filled and Capped Via (Pad on Via) and single-sided with double-layer or multi-layer metal core boards to meet the heat dissipation requirements. The power board is mainly made with FR4.

Most power modules are made with single-sided and double-sided boards and the wireless control modules are often a part of the design at the same board or separated from another single board.
